Hope all of you had a wonderful summer and are enjoying the beautiful taste of fall.
One of my favorite things to do is to travel. If only I had the $ to travel the world. We all wish that right?
I wanted to share some of my experiences of my last trip to the out islands of the Bahamas which included Eleuthera & Harbour Island.
Eleuthera is a beautiful island that is about 5o miles east of Nassau. The island of Eleuthera is about 100 miles long and a few miles wide. There are very few tourist and mainly locals living in and around Eleuthera.
If you are looking for some of our tips listed below than Eleuthera is the place for you!
The highlights of Eleuthera include...Driving on the left side of the road, making friends and hanging with the locals, Reggae Tunes, Kalik, Rum Bubba's, fresh conch salad, beautiful clear blue beaches with white sand, Friday night Governors Harbour Fish Fry, admire the Potcake local breed of dogs, cliff jumping, kayaking, the Glass Window Bridge, snorkeling, exploring the Queen's Bath and happy hour at Cocodimama's.
(no laughing at my dance moves)
Harbour Island was probably my favorite island. It is made up of beautiful pink sand beaches, golf carts, locals and tourists alike, resorts, bed and breakfast inns and wonderful restaurants.
If I took another trip I would most likely spend half my time in Eleuthera and the other on beautiful Harbour Island or commute between the two. It is only $5.00 to travel by boat ferry between Eleuthera and Harbour Island.
The highlights of Harbour Island include...Pink Sand Beaches, Sip Sip, renting a golf cart, reasonably priced scuba diving charters, going to Gusty's for nightlife fun (it is a must), dinner on the outside terrace of the Blu Bungalow (another must), afternoon cocktails over looking the marina at Valentine's Resort & Marina, Queen Conch, celeb-spotting and house-spotting.
Hope you enjoyed the pics and details of our most recent adventure! More updates to come soon!
